Baby's room update!

The baby's room is 98% finished. I have to hang two more things on the wall and then it is finished. Ricky and I finally finished the changing table, it turned out much better than we expected. So saturday we moved the changing table and the chair into her room, then we had to do some rearranging because it didn't work where we thought it was going to. Today I hung several things on the walls! I love how it turned out and hope that our baby girl loves it too! Here's pictures from the door way around the room counter-clockwise.

Her crib & Mobile next to the hallway door.

The butterfly at the head of her crib and the closet.

The wall where the door to outside is, mama's comfy chair & her boppy!

Caramel Apples

YUMMY!! So I went to buy halloween candy the other day and ended up buying some caramels, because they were cheap and I had a coupon. Well the next day I decided I wanted to have caramel apples. As you can see my carmel apple making experience turned into much more than just caramel and apples. I had to add nuts and chocolate. The first batch didn't look so pretty but was so yummy that I had to make as second batch of pretty ones to take to the ladies I visit teach. I hope they love them as much as I do! I might also have to eat one! :-)

Is your mouth watering yet?

Less than 3 weeks to go!

Here's some three weeks left pictures. Ricky and I went up the canyon on Sunday evening to check out the leaves before they are all gone and we took a few pictures!

Our pet woodpecker

Ok, so the other day we were outside and I noticed woodshavings all over the ground under our measly aspen tree in our front yard. I couldn't figure out where they came from and Ricky said, "Maybe we have a woodpecker" I was very doubtful, because "we don't have woodpeckers around here." Then Ricky looks at the tree a bit closer and there is a perfectly round hold in the truck of our tree. It was a pretty deep hole. Wow, we must have a woodpecker! We went to go in the house and there was our woodpecker friend at the top of our tree. Well fast forward a week or so and we are pulling out of our driveway and as I look at the tree there is our little woodpecker in his hole. I just happen to have my camera right there, so I snapped this picture! I am still not a fan of our blasted woodpecker because he made a bit hole in my tree, but oh well! He's sort of become our little pet, we look for him every time we come or go!

Can you see him?
We don't always see him around, Ricky is sure this woodpecker is a he and that he has holes all over the neighborhood!

Some awesome friends of mine threw me a baby shower on Sat. Sept 29th! We had such a great time and I definitely feel spoiled! So here's some fun pics from our little party!

Curtains in the Baby's room

I finally finished the curtains in the baby's room! Ricky told me I had to get a picture of them posted because he thinks they tie the whole room together. I feel like this room is taking us FOREVER to get finished, but we are definitely making progress, one bit at a time. The changing table is about 1/2 sanded and hopefully Ricky will finish sanding it and get it stained this week. I am finishing up some things for the walls and once the changing table is in I will hang those up. We only have 4 weeks left, so I'd really like to get it finished in the next week or so!

Peaches & Pears

I wanted to show off my peaches and pears! I spent too much time the last few weeks trying to get all these pears bottled, the peaches I knocked out in one day thanks to the help of my wonderful mother! It was lots of work, but is well worth it when I look at all the pretty bottles on my storage shelves! It also helps that although I had to buy the peaches, I got the pears for free, again thanks to my mom who climbed the tree to help pick them! I'm sure they will be really yummy in the winter time!
