My artists

Maya, Joel and I have done a few "projects" (as Maya likes to call them) lately. One afternoon we got out the finger paints and went to town on the kitchen floor. No we didn't paint on the kitchen floor, we painted on papers spread out on the kitchen floor. Maya refused to get her fingers in the paints, but had a grand time anyways. Joel on the other hand wanted to put everything in the paints and by the end of our fun he had paint on every piece of clothing, including his diaper.

We also painted window hanging things the other day. Maya loved this project that the box said was for children 8 and older. She is constantly asking to do more projects, guess I need to come up with some new fun stuff for us to do!

Joel has also decided that he likes to read books lately, except at the library where he likes to pull all the books off the shelves as fast as he can.

Joel's first haircut

Joel had his first haircut a few weeks ago. Maya didn't have her first haircut until she was 2. I didn't want to cut Joel's but I finally gave in to Ricky's nagging and cut it with lots of help.

Joel Walking

Joel has been walking for over a month now and is into everything. This is an older video, but you get an idea of how adorable his little football player waddle walking is. I love it!!
