Yummy Bananas

After a long weekend of sickness and a dip in my milk supply. I decided to try Maya on a bit of food. I had brown bananas sitting on my counter that I sure wasn't going to eat and decided she might like them. At first I wondered about not starting her on rice cereal, but decided it was ok since bananas were in the same BRAT (bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast) diet as rice. At first she wasn't so sure what mom was sticking in her mouth, but by the end of her 1/5 of a banana she was kicking her legs and getting excited when I'd give her more. So I guess bananas were a hit. I think I'll try rice cereal next, but not for a few more days.

I cant believe how fast she is growing! How are you liking being a stay at home mamma? Are you missing work at all? I had one of "those days" at work today. The kind that makes you wonder why in the world you wanted to be a social worker in the first place! Ahhhh!

She looks so much like you. Ok, I only really know you, Teresa, but she really has your eyes. Looks like she loved bananas. It is very nice when they can sit in a high chair and eat a cracker or banana or something on their own while you do other things.

Sounds like SOMEONE gave you some good advice. I'm glad she like the bannana. I guess I should have mentioned that it's not a bad idea to give some veggies at first too. If she doesn't like the tase of say, peas, mix it in with a little fruit to sweeten them.
